USDA nrcs environmental quality incentive program (eqip)

Description of the Organization:

USDA Natural Resources and Conservation Services (NRCS) provides financial assistance to producers through EQIP. The program is designed to address natural resource issues and improve air and water quality. Funding priorities can shift over time. The USDA is an equal opportunity provider, employer and lender.

Financial Assistance:

  • Funding for conservation practices such as

    • Cover crops​

    • Prescribed grazing

    • Irrigation

  • Assistance with conservation planning

  • High Tunnel Initiative: funding specifically for the installation of high tunnels (hoop houses) 

NOTE: You need a farm number to apply. All funding is given as a REIMBURSEMENT to cover conservation costs.
