Description of the Organization:
NC Hunters for the Hungry is a nonprofit that uses an abundant natural resource (white tailed deer) to address local food needs. They connect hunters with approved state-inspected meat processors that make deer burger to donate to local food distribution centers. This helps provide nutritious food to those in need and manage the large deer population.
Programs and Services Offered:

Hunters can donate harvested deer at any drop off or processing site.

Deer must be harvested legally, including a valid authorization number from the NC Wildlife Resources Commission, and please contact each processing site as they may have additional instructions for deer donation.

A Mobile cooler is available for organizational hunts to assist in transporting harvested deer to processors. You can request the cooler online.

There is no fee for services.

Statewide; deer drop off sites are located throughout the state.
