Southern sustainable agriculture research and education (SARE)

Description of Organization:

SARE's goal is to support farmers, researchers, and educators as they explore practices that improve stewardship, profitability, and the social and economic health of farm communities. They offer grants in order to promote innovation in these areas, and publicize grant projects to better disseminate information.

Financial Assistance:

  • Producer Grants: fund research projects that solve challenges

  • Project results are shared so other farmers can benefit

  • Project should promote sustainable agriculture/innovative solutions.

  • Projects should generate results that are useful beyond one year.

  • Projects should be research focused; grants cannot be used for operational support or capital investment.
