Working Lands Trust

Description of the Organization:

The Working Lands Trust works to sustain North Carolina’s food and fiber supply through the conservation of our working farms and forests. They work closely with the state’s Agricultural Development and Farmland Protection Trust Fund, the US Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service and the US Department of Defense. Through these partnerships the Trust has protected over 10,000 acres of working farms and forests to date.

Technical Assistance:

  • Landowner education about working lands conservation tools, programs and practices.

  • Facilitates land protection partnerships with private and public funders.

  • Assistance with land conservation agreements for landowners and private funders.

Fees:

There is no fee for this service.

Geographic Service Area:

Statewide.
