Natural capital investment fund
Description of Organization:
Natural Capital Investment Fund (NCIFund) lends and delivers technical assistance to small, midscale and limited resource farmers. We also fund enterprises throughout the local food system value chain, including food hubs, aggregators, and end markets. Our goal as a triple bottom line Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) is to create quality employment through viable enterprises that are good stewards of natural resources.
NCIFund operates strategic initiatives in North Carolina focused on farmers of color, and cold storage.
In West Virginia, we focus on strengthening the local food value chain.
