Description of the Organization:
Mountain BizWorks is a U.S. Treasury certified non-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that provides tailored small business lending and peer-learning programs to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs across Western North Carolina.
With all lending decisions made locally, Mountain BizWorks invests in areas that traditional banks cannot and emphasizes serving communities that have often been underserved or overlooked. They combine that access to capital with peer-to-peer business coaching and classroom training to support entrepreneurs throughout their journey from startup to ongoing success.
