Description of Organization:
Mountain Valleys RCD is a nonprofit, rural economic development organization that works in Western North Carolina to provide local people with opportunities to develop and carry out activities that will achieve economic benefits while conserving natural resources.
Geographic Service Area:
Buncombe, Cleveland, Henderson, Madison, McDowell, Polk, Rutherford, and Transylvania Counties

Renewable Energy Grant: up to 40% cost share for Western NC farmers to install renewable energy systems

Conservation Innovation Grant: 50% cost share funds up to $10,000 for Western NC dairy farmers to install solar water heating systems
