Organic Growers School (OGS) is a nonprofit organization working to advance organic agriculture and sustainable living in the Southern Appalachians. OGS has a mission to provide down-to-earth, practical advice on growing and sustainable living, while remaining affordable and accessible to anyone who wants to participate. OGS offers programs and assistance to beginning and experienced farmers.

OGS Farm Beginnings Course	Farm Beginnings® is training the next generation of farmers in the many skills required to start and expand a successful farm business: passion, clear goals, production experience, financial and marketing know-how, and more. Farm Beginnings® will help you build these skills through one year of farmer-led training, mentoring, and networking. Organic Growers School supports individuals in clarifying their goals and strengths, developing agricultural skills, and growing profitable, equitable, and ecologically sound farm businesses
OGS Spring Conference	OGS hosts a 3-day conference annually in mid-March in the Asheville area, with hands-on classes and expert speakers on a variety of topics to support both beginning and experienced growers. Registration is required and tickets are available on a sliding scale.
CRAFT Farmer Network	WNC Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training (CRAFT) is a farmer-led effort to bring established farmers, farm apprentices, and aspiring farmers together for year-long training in the art and science of sustainable agriculture, straight from the hearts, mouths, and fields of seasoned local farmers in WNC. CRAFT members participate in on-farm workshops, farm tours, round table discussions, and networking opportunities.
