The Foothills Food Hub is a program of the McDowell Local Food Advisory Council (McDowell LFAC). Foothills Food Hub’s mission is to enhance and promote community health by advocating for an equitable and economically viable local food system in their region (McDowell, Burke, Catawba, and Rutherford Counties). Their work includes supporting better access to farmers and food producers, ensuring that local food is affordable and accessible, and engaging with local leaders to support the growth of their region's local food economy, all while fostering deeper connections to their community.
