WasteManagement Charitable Contributions Program

Overview:

Waste Management has locations and service sites across North Carolina. Waste Management Charitable Giving provides support to programs related to their industry including: environmental education, the environment in general and the community.  

Deadline:

Applications are accepted year-round and are reviewed on a continuous basis. Expect a review time of approximately two months.  

Funding Priorities:

Education 

  • Environmental Education Programs (middle and high school students) 

  • Environmental Science Projects 

  • Science Fairs 

  • Earth Day Projects 

 

Environment 

  • Conserving & Maintaining Wetlands 

  • Wildlife Habitats 

  • Green Spaces 

  • Fossil Fuel Reduction 

  • Environmental Health & Justice 

  • Nature Awareness 

  • Recycling/Waste Management 

 

Community 

  • Beautification Projects 

  • Community Enhancement 

 

Geographic Location:

Organizations state-wide are eligible to apply.

Grant Size:

No information is available at this time. 

 

Requirements:

The Waste Management Charitable Contributions program provides support to organizations that have 501(c)(3) status and must be used for public purposes.  

Preference is also given to organizations that have a broad base of funders, community partners and volunteers. 

Waste Management will not support the following: 

  • Operating costs 

  • Capital campaigns 

  • Multi-year requests
