Overview:

Verizon funding supports education initiatives that provide underserved students with necessary skills for college and career success. Funding is prioritized for U.S. based 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations or U.S. based NCES registered school and/or district. Verizon employees are encouraged to volunteer and serve others in their communities.

Deadline:

Deadlines usually fall during late-October of each year.

Funding Priorities:

STEM Education for K-12 youth

  • After school programs

  • Teacher training

  • Research

 

Domestic Violence Education & Prevention

  • Targeted towards youth, women and senior adults

 

Geographic Location:

Organizations state-wide are eligible to apply. Please ensure that you have a Verizon store in your community to qualify for funding.

Grant Size:

Typically, the awards distributed range from $5,000 to $10,000.

 

Requirements:

All organizations that apply must:

  • Not duplicate the work of public agencies on the federal, state or local level.

  • Keep books available for regular independent outside audit and make the results available to all potential donors.

  • Obey with applicable laws regarding registration and reporting.

  • Maintain the highest standards of business conduct with the public.

  • Not use funds for real property or plant capital purchases.

  • Use at least 85% of total grant funds towards direct costs.

  • Technology purchases should be no more than 20% of the grant’s total direct costs.
