Overview:
Verizon funding supports education initiatives that provide underserved students with necessary skills for college and career success. Funding is prioritized for U.S. based 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations or U.S. based NCES registered school and/or district. Verizon employees are encouraged to volunteer and serve others in their communities.
Deadline:
Deadlines usually fall during late-October of each year.

Geographic Location:
Organizations state-wide are eligible to apply. Please ensure that you have a Verizon store in your community to qualify for funding.
Grant Size:
Typically, the awards distributed range from $5,000 to $10,000.
Requirements:
All organizations that apply must:

Not duplicate the work of public agencies on the federal, state or local level.

Keep books available for regular independent outside audit and make the results available to all potential donors.

Obey with applicable laws regarding registration and reporting.

Maintain the highest standards of business conduct with the public.

Not use funds for real property or plant capital purchases.

Use at least 85% of total grant funds towards direct costs.

Technology purchases should be no more than 20% of the grant’s total direct costs.
