Corporate Giving 

Overview:

Tyson makes charitable contributions directly to nonprofit organizations that serve communities where it’s employees live and work. Most of its funding opportunities are by application only, however, contact your local Tyson Foods facility to learn more about employee recommendations and invitations.

Deadline:

The application window is open and will close on March 11, 2018 for the remainder of the year.

Funding Priorities:

By invitation only includes:

  • Urgent Food Supply - for short-term feeding programs.

  • Food Bank Optimization - for food banks to implement programs that improve the efficiency of their operations, and/or increase their ability to distribute food.

  • Non-Profit Skill/Capacity Building - for non-profits to improve their management, planning and fundraising capabilities to become more self-sufficient and sustainable.

  • College Internship Program for Non-Profits - for non-profits in our three corporate locations to host a summer intern.

  • Non-Profit Skill Building - for scholarships to enable non-profit managers to attend nationally reputable training and certification programs to improve their organization’s sustainability.

  • Community Cornerstone - for projects, programs, and physical places that bring diverse cultures together.

 

Open to all applicants:

  • Open At-Large – allows non-profits to submit applications based on their interests and needs.

Must benefit communities located within 20 miles of a Tyson facility:

Sanford-Mexican Original

Tarboro Plant

Wadesboro

Wilkesboro Plant

Grant Size:

Tyson most frequently awards grants in the amount of $50,000 or less. 

Requirements:

Must benefit communities located within 20 miles of a Tyson facility.
