Patagonia Environmental Grants

Overview:

Patagonia funds organizations with a focus on environmental work that recognizes and attempts to solve the root causes of problems. Patagonia helps local groups working to defend habitats and communities through original movements. They prefer investing in innovative groups that produce quantifiable results.

Deadline:

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year at Patagonia retail stores and at company headquarters every April 30 and August 31.

 

Funding Priorities:

Environmental work that is:

  • Action oriented

  • Focuses on root causes

  • Has a clear and concise strategy

  • Identifies goals and objectives that can be evaluated successfully

  • Builds public involvement and engagement

  • Works to build an inclusive and diverse environmental movement

 

Geographic Location:

Patagonia supports efforts state wide. 

Grant Size:

Generally, grants range between $2,500 to $15,000.

Requirements:

Your efforts should be quantifiable, with specific goals, objectives and action plans, and should include measures for evaluating success.

Only one proposal from an organization will be considered per year.

Must have 501(c)(3) status or a comparable fiscal sponsor.
