Novo Nordisk is committed to making a difference by supporting scientific and humanitarian causes that make a positive impact. Novo Nordisk has a Triple Bottom Line business model and provides corporate giving and support of independent education programs.

Funding Priorities:

Charitable funding is focused on two key areas in increasing people’s health and wellness in urban areas.

These focus areas are as follows:

 

1. Healthy Lifestyles

 

2. Built Environment & Access to Healthy Foods

 

Focus areas aim to:

1. Realize that determinants of urban health are interrelated and complex.

2. Prefer a sustainable, holistic and advanced approach to health and wellness.

3. Offer flexible guidance for developing solutions.

Requirements:

To be considered for Charitable Gifts, requests must be from 501(c)(3) organizations located in the communities where Novo Nordisk employees live and work. Preference will be given to proposals that address health and wellness.

 

Examples of groups that are not eligible for funding include (but are not limited to):

• Individuals

• Organizations that discriminate in any way

• Religious organizations limiting services to their own members

• Political organizations

• Previous grant recipients who have failed to submit required program reconciliations and/or follow industry guidelines and rules

• Promotional materials
