Overview:
American Honda Foundation (AHF) was established by American Honda Motor Co. Inc. to commemorate its 25th anniversary in the United States of America and to show its appreciation of America’s support over the years. Its mission is to help meet the needs of American society in the areas of youth and scientific education by awarding grants to non-profits, while helping communities create and sustain long-term benefits.
Deadline:
AHF accepts applications three times per year. Organizations that have never received funding from AHF can apply for either the February 1 or the August 1 deadline date. The May 1 deadline date is reserved for organizations funded at least once in the last 10 years.
*Should the deadline for submission of applications fall on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday), the deadline will be extended to the following Monday.

Grants are available to organizations state wide.
Grant Size:
The grant range is from $20,000 to $75,000 over a one-year period.
Requirements:
Organizations may only submit one request in a 12-month period. This includes colleges and universities with several departments/outreach programs.
Proposals must be submitted online. No paper or faxed applications will be accepted.
