Overview:
The Golden LEAF Foundation is committed to strengthening North Carolina’s long-term economy, mainly in financially-distressed, tobacco-reliant and rural communities. The foundation was created in 1999 to manage and distribute one half of the tobacco settlement agreement monies into communities statewide.
Deadline:
Applications must be postmarked, hand-delivered, emailed or submitted via the online application system by the following dates:

Geographic Location:
Statewide with priority given to tobacco-dependent, economically distressed, and/or rural communities.
Grant Size:
There is no minimum grant amount. Grants are expected not to exceed $200,000.
Requirements:
Past grantees are encouraged to call Golden Leaf Foundation staff to discuss proposal ideas.
Presenting a project for review requires both a letter of inquiry and a full application before the deadline of your choosing.
