Overview:
The North Carolina GlaxoSmithKline Foundation invites nonprofit organizations to apply for one-time grants for projects advancing science, health and education in their communities. These grants are intended to offer organizations an opportunity to expand and/or enhance a current program or provide seed funds for a new initiative. In addition to financial assistance, beneficiaries receive customized consulting services and technical support provided by the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits.
Deadline:
Generally, October 1st and April 1st (notified of decision in March and October).

Grant Size:
Typically, grants are awarded in the amount of $25,000.
Requirements:
Organizations must have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
Ribbon of Hope proposals will be considered that relate to the establishment and implementation of projects which:

tightly align with goals and objectives of local community agencies

demonstrate their sustainability after grant funds are expended
-
address critical community needs that have been identified through comprehensive needs assessment activities
