Chick-fil-A Foundation: General Request

Overview:

The Chick-fil-A Foundation was created to honor Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy’s legacy of giving, goodwill, and passion for supporting youth. The Chick-fil-A Foundation seeks to inspire and equip the next generation of leaders with the opportunities they deserve to build a better future. A general request is for food, in-kind support, sponsorship, or general funding.

Deadline:

Applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis:

  • Q1 - January 1 to March 31

  • Q2 - April 1 to June 30

  • Q3 - July 1 to September 30

  • Q4 - October 1 to November 30

 

Funding Priorities:

Education (formal education, i.e. charter, public, or private school)

Influencing Culture

Youth/Emerging Culture

Applicants must choose just one category for the application. The categories are:

  1. Development of emerging young leaders focusing on strong ethics and character development, positive community and culture involvement, and positive and effective civic engagement

  2. Innovative educational programs to underserved urban, at-risk youth and that typically focus on strengthening the family, character and leadership development, academic excellence and improvements, influencing culture based on moral and ethical foundations, and encouraging community involvement

  3. Youth entrepreneurship focusing on developing business knowledge and entrepreneurial skills in youth

  4. Civic and community engagement focused on impacting communities by providing thought leadership and targeted programs and services

 

Geographic Location:

Statewide with priority for communities with a Chick-fil-A Restaurant; North Carolina is considered an “Atlantic Region” state, and applicants must apply in this category.

Grant Size:

Grants awarded are typically $15,000 to $100,000.  Be sure to request an amount that is consistent with your project’s budget.

Requirements:

Communication regarding approval/declination will be sent by the end of each quarter in which the application is submitted.
