Overview:

As a global corporate citizen, Bombardier supports charities, nonprofit organizations and volunteer supported activities to grow strong communities, primarily where the company operates.

Deadline:

Typically, the first deadline falls in mid-April of each year. The second stage of the application is due around

mid-June of the same year.

 

Funding Priorities:

Youth: 

• Support educational opportunities to contribute to relieving poverty, develop a talented workforce capable of creating local wealth

• Help at-risk populations learn the skills that will give them the means to improve their lives

• Improve literacy and encourage the pursuit of educational opportunities

• Inspire new interest in the fields of science and technology, particularly programs and extra-curricular activities related to STEM

• Promote innovation and the development of knowledge in science, technology, engineering and manufacturing to meet evolving market needs and support sustainable development

• Create opportunities for students to develop a passion for planes, trains and other areas that may lead to them pursuing careers at Bombardier

 

Environment & Food:

• Reduce our impact on the environment to secure a sustainable future for Bombardier and its stakeholders

• Promote greater environmental responsibility

• Encourage the development and wide-spread adoption of environmentally friendly practices, skills, knowledge, products and technologies

• Accelerate the pace of the sustainable evolution of mobility by enhancing the quality of the environments that could be affected by Bombardier’s operations and products

 

Economic Development:

• Foster entrepreneurship as a key factor in achieving sustainable development over the long term

• Create opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs

• Promote the development of entrepreneurial skills and spirit

• Support entrepreneurs through training and mentoring

Requirements:

All requests must be submitted at least six weeks prior to the start date of the program or event.

Bombardier does not provide any funding or other forms of support for:

​

• Initiatives undertaken by individuals

• Activities related to sports and leisure, health and wellness, or arts and culture

• Organizations that aim to protect wildlife species

• Organizations that may pose an ethical, cultural, safety or environmental risk

• Groups that discriminate on any basis

• Religious activities, initiatives or programs

• Organizations associated with tobacco consumption, manufacturing or distribution of alcohol, gambling, or any other similar activities

• Groups that incur many unreasonable administrative costs
