Alcoa Foundation invests where Alcoa has a presence to further sustainability and to partner with communities to address local needs as they adapt in a changing world. Alcoa Foundation typically makes “Direct Service” investments, meaning that programs must work directly with individual participants. Capacity Building and Systems Change investments will be considered on a case-by-case basis when appropriate.

Alcoa provides grants and donations to communities in and around Stanly County, NC.
Grant Size:
The average grant size is approximately $36,000.
Requirements:
Allow 90 days from the date you submit a grant application to receive a decision from Alcoa Foundation staff.
Eligibility requirements are as follows:

Organizations must serve communities where Alcoa has operating plants or offices.

501(c)(3) organizations, public educational institutions, and government entities are eligible to apply if funds are used for charitable purposes.

Programs must fall within Alcoa focus areas.

The minimum grant request is $15,000.
