Alcoa Foundation Grant Program

Overview:

Alcoa Foundation invests where Alcoa has a presence to further sustainability and to partner with communities to address local needs as they adapt in a changing world. Alcoa Foundation typically makes “Direct Service” investments, meaning that programs must work directly with individual participants.  Capacity Building and Systems Change investments will be considered on a case-by-case basis when appropriate.

Geographic Location:

Alcoa provides grants and donations to communities in and around Stanly County, NC.

Grant Size: 

The average grant size is approximately $36,000.

Requirements:

Allow 90 days from the date you submit a grant application to receive a decision from Alcoa Foundation staff. 

Eligibility requirements are as follows: 

  • Organizations must serve communities where Alcoa has operating plants or offices. 

  • 501(c)(3) organizations, public educational institutions, and government entities are eligible to apply if funds are used for charitable purposes. 

  • Programs must fall within Alcoa focus areas. 

  • The minimum grant request is $15,000.
